Purpose
ALOHA is used as a greeting and also describes the affection, peace, compassion, and mercy of people who believe in and share the aloha spirit, regardless their of ethnicities. This event welcomes everyone to participate and become part of our ohana (one big family of relatives and friends) and work together to make this event one that everyone can embrace and help spread to others.

POLY represents "Polynesian" and other "Nesian" islands in and around the South Pacific. At this event, we showcase the islands of Hawaii, Samoa, Tonga, Fiji, Tahiti, Cook Islands, New Zealand, and Guam through live entertainment, hands-on workshops, arts and crafts, retail and souvenir products, services and information, and more.

FEST is our FREE Admission & Parking cultural festival that makes it affordable for everyone to attend, and also visit the surrounding landmarks throughout San Francisco, California.

San Francisco native, Charles Hamer (Polynesian Gift Hut owner since 2004), with support from other Vendors, established this one-of-a-kind event in his hometown in 2013. Since then, Uncle Charlie has presented 47 performing groups at six events, and is passionately committed into making the event grow as an annual one for everyone to enjoy.

Uncle Charlie welcomes and gives everyone the opportunity to participate. Any support is greatly appreciated.
